My t plate freelander has developed a strange creaking noise from the rear - I can't quite tell what it is but I can make it very noticable by going at low speed (10-30mph) and tapping the accelerator - it sounds like a suspension/creaking sort of thing - anyone with any ideas where it's likely to be and where to start my diagnosis?

Thanks in advance.

Cracked chassis - common problem - normally by rear suspension attachment - just get a plate welded on - several peeps have done it.

Experienced a similar, if not the same, prob myself. It was a captive nut inside the chassis rail which the rear sub frame bolts to. Landrover Dealers sussed this problem out for me and quoted approx £2000.00 to correct. I did it myself and costed me nowt but a bit of time and patience. If you need anymore help just pm me.
