Hi all,

I have had what sounds like a creaking noise when I pull away from standstill, it sounds like its coming from the right hand side rear, although it could be front? Any ideas where I should be looking? Only it's annoying me now!

Thanks

Hi

had the same problem bout 3 months ago turned out to be a new wishbone on the front cost about £250 fitted. so its not light on the old creaky moth wallet ;)

If it is the chassis. I 'cured' mine many moons ago by cutting a hole in the boot floor and drilling through the ends of the crack to stop it spreading and also stop the creaking. I also 'rubber mounted' the rear sub by putting some pieces of tyre wall in as washers between the sub and the chassis proper. Ran for another 70 K before the HG went. Was still Ok them.

I had the same problem and it was because the bolts on the sub frame had not been tightened up properly 190 Nm or 140Lbs but mine was more of a cracking sound than a creaking sound, check where the bolts go through into the body to see if there is any cracks . I also drilled at the end of the crack and then welded and all was good .then we parted company for a later one:caked:
