The Clutch Pedal on my Freelander 2, TD4 SE, is making an annoying creaking sound when being released. I can not see where lubrication may be needed. Clutch operates OK.
Be grateful for any ideas. Ta

Ditto annoying as hell, is there a spring or something that can be changed. Drives me nuts.

why not try lubricating the moving parts?

All sticky parts like lube!

I have sprayed loads of WD40, PTFE & Silicone Grease up under the Scuttle where I guess any moving parts would be. Still the creaking persists. All quiet at first, noise develops after the Car has been driven for a while when things warm up.

Is there a backing plate welded from the bulkhead to the pedal mounting?

On the FL1, the thin metal plate creaks as the welds aren't 100%
