quick delivery time granted but to ship a 94g locking wheel nut key in a box the size of a microwave is plain stupid at best.

I would have thought a jiffy bag would have done the job. Won't be using them again.

:violent:

I'll leave it there before I start ranting.................

Just got one from Land Rover in Norwich via eBay. Came in a small plastic post bag and included a flourescent bag to keep it.

Bang on service.

I work in shipping and to answer the OP
"ship a 94g locking wheel nut key in a box the size of a microwave is plain stupid at best"
no its not, the contract I have is, I pay the same price per item shipped. be 1kg or 25 kg
so I order only 2 size of box 1 large, 1 medium. this saves on having lots of boxes of different sizes hanging about.
but the big thing is a small bag could get lost, a medium sized box is harder to misplace.
also why would you not use them again?
you got your order didn't you?
or would you have been happier if they had delayed your order until a supply smaller boxes had come in?

'' but the big thing is a small bag could get lost, a medium sized box is harder to misplace.''

The item was sent recorded. You mean to tell me that a jiffy sent via the same method is more likely to be lost, sorry don't make sense. Also it's a damn site cheaper. Some but not all see charging high prices for shipping a chance to make a little bit.

A company like Rimmer give the choice of several options for delivery, in this instance the delivery charge was just added, no option. So my saying I will not use them again perhaps was a little strong, but with so many suppliers out there they need to be much more aware, and they will be down the list.

Any supplier worth their salt will have a variety of packaging, from jiffy of many sizes and boxes. Now a box the size of a microwave with a socket in needs internal packing, so you need to store more packing. As I said crazy!!!!!

This is not a big issue, but it is sometimes nice to see a bit of common sense.

ditto and I only charge what it cost me to post and still I do not get 5 stars for doing so , also a big box like that is just a waste

Nooooo my dogs love to chew on cats!!!!!

Anyway boxes is for bits, small boxes for small bits, unless you're stoopid!!!!

I'll send you my box, free, but £16 delivery, so it won't get lost, plus don't forget all that packing inside. Hours of fun.:D:
