Another crazy problem im having is:

Wipers come on with lights and cant turn them off...stereo turns off with heater. Wipers come on woth indicator once...one side of lights is brighter than other.

Added loads of earths in but still no luck

:-(

Any thoughts?

Could be fused/melted wireing somwhere along, im sure somone who knows much more will be along soon.

Might help if you list as much info as possible. Engine, year, type maybe amy mods yoube done.

I once fitted some LED brake lights that made the ignition live when you put your foot on the brake!

Its is a 300tdi, no mods… on a P Plate. Thanks guys!

I know you have added earths, but it really sounds like an earth fault in the dash wiring.
I'd pull the dash out and have a look. The head light and wiper wiring looms are close together behind the dash, maybe a contact on one of the sharp metal edges?

You need some Holy water, a young priest and an old priest.


Seriously though it sounds like something behind the instrument cluster. Thats where the wiring for most of those components congregate so I would be inclined to start there.
