hi all
i was wondering if someone can help me the problem i have is the crankshaft pulley becomes very hot after just starting up and it is burning the fan belt i dont wont to drive until i get some advise

What engine?
If a TD4 then the pulley is likely to be delimited, (very common)
Replacement is the only cure.

The 1.8 K doesn't suffer pulley delamination as a rule, but worth a check. I've come across faulty alternators that overloaded the belt, making them smoke and melt.

just a headsup took freelander to garage turn out to be the ac compressor
and all done now
