But can you hear the pump running? if it went out of fuel you have to keep the throttle down max 20 secs or untill it starts unless the pump is gone which would not be odd at all if you let the tank go empty too often... putting only 5 ltr in a D2 which ran out orf fuel seems a kind of "extreme cheapskate" show

Haha I did have to walk a fair way with a Gerry can. But I've got it all sorted now. Just a few things to sort out now

That black box under the passenger seat on chassis is the air compressor for the rear suspension air bags, I'm guessing you have coil springs on the back axle?
As beneagles says your ace will more than likely be disabled as I would expect a warning light would come on if there's no oil in the tank. Mine was disabled before I bought my disco so I'm not sure. Is there a hose that is connected to that side of the tank that goes to a pump? If not then I'm sure it would be disabled. If it is disabled then take a look at what's been done with the rams on the anti roll bars, the metal pipes that feed them were just hacked off which I believe is an mot fail.
Also invest in a nanocom, it will save you money in the long run, it will help you sort out the 3 amigo problem without throwing a 5hitload of money replacing parts.

Guys with the track rod ends do you need a new bar or can you get the drivers side one off? The bar that steers the drivers side
No, you have to buy a whole new bar, sadly.
If you look closely you'll see the ball joint on that end is crimped on, the other one you could swap.:(:(

You've got me wondering now.
DO have a good look before getting too upset.
i did this job for the last MOT so is more than 6 months away.
If the one you mean is the one on the left hand end in this pic, then yes that one is fixed.

Yes that's the bolt I cut off. Every car I've worked on I've never known this. And it's the same with the front bar too. So I'm just going to do both as they need doing anyway.

Ive just fitted a new one on mine today, as well as a steering damper... Pretty easy, but it was a good job I had a separator tool set. Had to cut off half of one nut to release it though.... Bought a Moog, just thought it would be a better one than a Britpart.

Guys I need help. Using the disco fine this morning. Turned it off to put something in the house turned ignition on to start it it turned over the went dead. Now there is nothing. No life at all

Sounds like battery/electrical connections/earth, possibly starter.
Try clicking the key to the start position over and over again, you may be lucky if it is the contacts in the starter.
But if it is continuously cranking but nothing, that is other stuff.
As others have said, maybe crank sensor.
