Noticed that the screen surround has cracked across the gutter and into the main frame below window rubbers. Both sides. Will slacken off bolts on 'hinge' and relax the screen as I think that's obviously the issue. Question is can it be easily welded (whats it made of?), does it need welding or should I just seal the cracks and leave it?

It's some sort of alloy so welding not likely an option.Would have to come off any way.Best get another complete unit.

It can be tig welded probably but not worth the faff. Just get one off a breaker

Its not cracked im just a knob . They are made that way.

Take it any way you can .... that was a cheap fix ....
