Hi all,

What's ball park cost of 1 year comprehensive insurance for a 200tdi 90? Male, age 48, 5 years' NCB, no points.

Depends on mileage and what you use it for. If it's a second vehicle, limited mileage (less than 12k) and used only occasionally for work and parked off the road, should come in under £200 fully comp. Don't do something like Norwich Union, they quoted me unhappy at £735, then I told them my best quote so far was £225 including recovery and various other things there was a deathly silence ;)

£150 - £190 appears to be about the going rate from a specialist Landy insurer (Highway for example), or go through a broker like SureTerm.

yes take 5 is bang on, Iv'e just insured my 90TDi fullt comp, 4000 miles, breakdown and homestart cover and legal assistance with Lancaster for £184

£350 fer me 90 , 4000 miles a year , green lane cover , sureterm

Green lane cover is a bit of a con, As all Green Lanes are public highways you're standard insurance should cover you to drive on them.

just had a quote for me 200tdi 110 from elephant..... fully comp for me and the wife, 12 years no claims... £168, but am going to shop around with confused.com and another one which can't remember name of. One slight problem tho' when type in details, mines comes up as a 5 door estate:confused:

I've just paid £120 through Sureterm - 200 TDi 90, 3000 miles, 40 something, max no-claims.
