Hi
The seal has a flat surface and a round bulge to it. like a letter " d ". Should the bulge be at the bottom like " d " or should the bulge be on the top "p" Is the seal riveted or bolted? Should there be any gap when the door is closed I seem to have a big gap between the sil and the door bottom. . T 20170307_131527.jpg 20170307_131521.jpg
I know the flat surface of the seal goes on the bodyside channel above the alloy sill panels. Totally confused. Appreciate some help.
 
A friend of mine glued the flat of the seal onto the angle at the bottom of the door.
That way it doesn't get stood on and kicked, and gives a good seal.
However, I can't remember what he used to glue it on!
 
Earlier type, series and early 90/110, fit to sill. Later type (better) fit to door bottom.
 
On my older type 110, I glued the newer type seals to the door, using the sticks like sh*t type tube adhesive.
Ran a bead in the hollow of the seal, stuck it on, shut the door left it overnight, they've been on now several years.

How do you drain your foot wells ? If I did that it would be full of Trout in a week.
 
Captain Tolley's creeping crack cure, on the front window seals
Low Modulus sealant along the top of the air vents,
Low modulus sealant holding the rest of the door seals on,
Captain Tolley's run along the gutters.

No leaks...

I've got a bottle of Captain Tolley's Creeping Crack Cure. It's worth having in the garage because every time it catches my eye it makes me laugh. :D As well as being a crack cure, it's a tonic. ;)
