the only bit that could possibly be landy is engine, transfer box and gearbox. and that doesnt give it enough points for the DVLA, and definitely doesnt wash with me!

nope, a land rover in the proper sense of the world has to be one that can be registered on the road as one :p

im glad people like it. will be taking mine to the next landy meet i organise if its built by then, mechanical lockers front and rear, once i got the rubbers on i want it should be pretty unstoppable

this one

of course, i would say that, but i genuinely do find it apocalyptically cool - that 150" 6x6 riot van type thing comes second. that one in the initial post just looks like a nicely modified shiny 90 to me

those portal axled ones were in LRO/LRM with the wheels changed to tracks. Better off with a unimog to start with, but i reckon itd have a good go.

a landy with mog axles has advantages over a mog though to be fair. and it makes for a beastly looking 110 as well :D

Our Landy. Used for strictly offroading so no comments about it being unsuitable for on road use. Even though we use it now and again ;)

Very nice Todd :) Refreshing to see a 90 without ridiculously wide wheels on it for a change. I like it!

Yeah I agree, Fat wheels are no good if you ask me, you end up pushing too much offroad, 235 fit in all ruts and they don't mess about with your gearing and there's no rubbing on shocker's either :D

I wish it was my Landy though! Dad's not keen on handing me the key's! But a bit of sweetening up and he might reconsider ;)

I'll just stick with my 300tdi at the minute. Not a bad first car for an 18 year old either :D

This was the coolest one I've had. I drove it to Kalgoorlie from Perth in winter at night in the rain. Never again. I froze my arse off. The one at our A Res depot is a 2000 Td5 and only had 17000 k's on it when I last drove it. No aircon, power steering, nothing but it looked the part as did the 2A LRPV

Is the one of coolest Landies you've ever seen?

Must have cost a small fortune to do the work.

Not the coolest, but a nice machine.

I'm unsure of it being a Mad Max lannie.
It's wheel-base is too short for long range touring and living out of.
No Roof-rack, No grills on the windows, nor a CB radio :)

Wouldn't take much to convert it fully though :)

My 90 is the coolest :D

and its going to feature in an upcoming Total Offroad to prove it :D

Griff, where was that top pic taken? (The really dusty one!) Looks a bit like Morocco, a couple of friends and I are doing a 4-week trip up there this year.
