Gents I am sure my coolant temp sensor is duff getting error message but looking at rave it doesnt seem to match up it is a Gems 4.6 and at the top of the inlet manifold there are two connectors one green the other brown which I think are the two coolant sensor plugs so I am assuming the green for temp gauge and brown to ecu ??? Also are they both the same part no

Think you maybe assuming the wrong way round. No they are not both the same part number.

Thanks Wammers can now get on and order a new one may just replace both

ETC8496A is ECU temp sender up to 1998. Put that number into Rimmers search. The one they show is Black which doesn't make sense to me. Think the ECU sender should have two wires and the gauge sender one. But don't quote me on that.
