Hello guys, just changed the two rubber hoses between the heater and the head as I had the heater end burst. Anyway need to put some antifreeze and water back in the old girl. Does anyone know how much it would take when the expansion tank heater and head is drained down & the best way of purging the air out of the system?

No idea off the top of my head how much it will take but the accepted way is to raise the drivers front sode of the car so the tank is the highest point on the system.

i then take the top hose off and fill down in to that, then fill the rad through the top hose opening until that overflows, then put the top hose back on, fill the expansion tank Nd burp hoses...

Then run engine, continually burping hoses, topping up the expansion tank until it is up to temp.

Then leave to cool and check levels.
