 after redoing the the abs pump on my rangie not more than a week later another problem has made itselif apparent. For a while now i have been loosing coolant but now it is actualy dripping from the underside of the car. It seems to be coming from a metal pipe situated to the right of the gearbox. Any one got any ideas.

Many coolant leaks are from the two metal pipes that go to the internal radiator, if this is leaking the drivers carpet will be wet at the top of the transmission tunnel. Most water dropping from the gearbox area under the car is from the aircond condensor the outlet for which is above the gearbox.

My fitter says that it's a massive dismantling job getting to this internal radiator, would you know/agree?

Hi , yes, it's a big job, but there are shortcuts to make the job a lot quicker, I'll dig out the instructions I found on an Australian web-site and paste them here later.

ye if its just the seals there are good shotcuts but if the matrix is kaput the facia will have to come out and thats about an 8 hour job
