Hi I am having a problem with the cooling system on my Range Rover p38 2.5 diesel. I have done the head gasket about 2 months ago and everything was fine. no over heating or anything but took it for a long run about one week ago and it was running fine but on the way back there is a steep hill you have to come up on the way home and it starts overheating so got breakdown out to have a look they told me to drive it home to see if it was going to over heat again and it was fine. So got it home and bleed the system.

So went back up on the same road last night was coming home and on the same hill it started over heating again let it cool down and tired to drive it again but it kept on overheating so got breakdown out again and they bleed the system for me but did not do it right so the next hill i went up the tempture was very hi but never went in the red and came down when i was driving on the flat i have been using it today and its fine but i think if i do go up a hill its going to overheat.

I don't know what to do!

feel the rad all over to check its hot all over and so okay and thermostat opening, check pipes as well to prove good circulation

HI I have put a new brand new radiator on the vehicle and a new thermostat I have checked the pipes which they seamto be fine.

Mine has the center of the radiator behind the fan staying cool and i too have a preasure problem at the top hose, :)

so your eveidence for overheating is guage ,no water loss etc ,id check actual temps ,is water flowing out bleed pipe from rad to expansion tank in tank

Theres a little bit off coolant loss but nothing majoir probley a couple off mill in a couple off weeks. Yes when I take the pipe off the expansion tank the coolant flows out off the pipe.

i would check the viscus fan to make sure it is working correct a fan not locking up can give you perfect cooling until your vehicle meets a hill
