I’m new here , have had a few RR over the years but just got a 2007 RRS 2.7 98k. Got it Saturday from a dealer. Sunday rear door would not open , took car back today and he has ordered part. Went out tonight and low coolant level warning came up. I haven’t looked as it’s dark and engine hot , but I’m praying this isn’t a worst case scenario. What are the heads like on these , how common is head gasket trouble with the 2.7 , or are the sensors dodgy .... Thanks

If it’s new to you check fluid level and top up if required first before falling into a RR panic :)
We’ve all been there - simple stuff first

got my L322 with low coolant warning and an expansion where the level was staying spot on. replaced the expansion tank no bother since

the floats get porous with time and sinks triggering the low coolant warning. if you've just put the heater on high after months of being off you might just need a slight top up and bleed some air out.

On the L322, low coolant level is also triggered by specific gravity, so topping up with water is not a good idea.

Thanks everyone, looks like level is fine so new expansion tank. On eBay at under £30 , these any good ?

As said by Keith the coolant level sensor float will not rise to indicate full if the specific gravity of the coolant mix is not correct.
