Update on the situation so far...

Let the engine cool down. Opened the expansion tank cap and have topped up about 1 and half litre of coolant.
So my question is, where has the coolant gone?
No obvious signs of leakage anywhere.

If there is no signs of coolant loss I wouldn't worry too much at the minute.

You may find the cooling system is just 'finding it's level' after you drained it all out to replace hose (had this with the TD5 before)

If you have topped it up to the required level whilst cold I would use it a few times and keep a close eye on it :)

Cheers Rob,

Have topped it up and will keep an eye on it over next few days like you suggest.
I hope it's just a coolant level finding thing rather than something more sinister....

Quick update,

Ran the car as normal today and have let it cool down. Just checked the coolant level and all is well.....

So maybe it was the coolant finding it's level....

Good, fingers crossed. If it's leaking out somewhere (hose/rad etc) you can normally get that coolant 'whiff' when hot.

So, checked level again this morning and have lost about 750ml overnight.....
Looked under the car and saw a small pool on the floor, towards the front of the car.

Any ideas of where this is dripping from? I have attached a couple of photos.
Any help would be appreciated....

Start the engine and look

Once the pressure is built up you should see where it's coming from

Best remove the under tray too so you can see inside from underneath the car

Do I need to get it on a ramp to get the undertray off and get a good look inside?

Whilst on the ramp today, took the opportunity to have a good nosey around under the car. The 'leak' seems to be coming from the water pump, although it's very minor.....

Would you leave as is for now or replace the pump?

Once water has found its way out through the pump shaft the bearings will deteriorate quickly. You do not want to be dealing with a complete failure and the ensuing damage - radiator, fan etc. change it now and take my advice and get genuine pump or at least an OEM from a reputable dealer.

+1, it won't heal up.:)

Good advice all round guys. Will get onto a new pump in the morning.
Any advice as to best place to buy a decent OEM at a decent price?
