Hi just signed up to this forum to see if anyone can help me
Just recently brought another td5 to use off road x reg 180000 . Starts and runs perfect , heaters all work perfect , head gauge stays at normal running temp I do 60 miles a day no problems . But the top hose seems to me under a lot of pressure iv bleed the system twice and this morning it was still pressureised after leaving it around 12 hours . Doesn't lose any coolant just seems strange . Also when I drive it I get to 3000 rpm in 3rd 4th 5th it's starts to splutter and struggles to get past it 1st an 2nd are fine . Does anyone has any ideas. Thanks

Try the cheap and easy options first, get a new header tank cap. It might not be releasing pressure as it should. At least you know there are no leaks if it stays pressurised for 12 hours!

depending how your testing the hoses for pressure .are you feeling them and squeezing them by hand ?
some hoses when there baked they turn hard

to test you header tank cap wait for another 12 hour period remove cap slowly does it make a hissing sound
if the header tank does make this hissing sound means the full system is pressurised not just the top hose
