You can wash them with TFR or Gunk and put them back in, but they are so cheap it is probably just as easy to get new ones.I had a leaking wheel cylinder which is now sorted but the brake linings have been contaminated with brake fluid. Everything is now clean and I have roughed up the linings which now 'appear' to be free from the fluid. My question is - should I replace the brake shoes?
Saves on postage as well, especially if you can scrape over the free delivery minimum order at the suppliers.Thing is with the series motors, it is always worth keeping spares of pretty much everything, so when you buy gaskefs for pennies, buy a few more as you are guaranted to use them at some time, same as wheel bearings/seals etc, it's bloody annoyng when a few pence part stops you finishing the job in hand.
