Hi guys as anybody had the problem of number 40 fuse keep blowing/starter motor and eas fuse.

car is a 2001 and is 40amp, have just unpluged compresor and it does not blow fuse so might have found problem. wot do you think.
Datatek do you think it is worth stripping and is it easy.

With the price of the new/recon ones I'd say it's worth the effort to try and fix it yourself as the service items are a hell of a lot cheaper than replacing the whole thing...as long as you don't have to replace the conrod.
Changing the piston seal is easy enough...only tricky parts are removing the conrod (need a 3.5mm allen key I think) and getting the motor bushes back in place is fiddly as hell.
