It’s a late 17/ early 18 with Ingenium diesel (25k miles currently). I like it, but it’s taking some acclimatisation: it’s very 21st century. Automated everything. I prefer manual everything ‘coz I’m like that. The Adblue is annoying, but necessary for ULEZ compliance. I plan regular oil replacements to counter the apparently inevitable diesel dilution issue - but so far I think it’s great!

I’ve bought some cheap 17” Evoque wheels to put some decent AT tyres on for the off road adventures: 20” on road tyres are great for just that: road only. ;)

Thankfully, terrain response gets the best out of summer road tyres even in snow:

Nice, I like em. Is diesel dilution down to injectors or something?

It’s the particulate filter: if it doesn’t run hot enough (and it doesn’t in the Evok and DS due to the transverse engine) then diesel is burnt in the exhaust to drive up temperatures. If you switch off mid cycle, the excess fuel is dumped in the sump. Or so I’m told ...

Hi

Just wished to say nice motor

I’ve got a horrible feeling evoke and D5 have different rim PCD patterns , but I’m more than likely thinking of something else

Happy motoring
Thanks Gary!

Don’t worry, this is a disco sport, not a “proper” Disco ;)

I liked the D5, but it’s just too big for where we live. Not that stopped some of our neighbours though!
