Just wondering if anyone has fitted one of the Connects2 Aux Input boxes into their Freelander?

I'm trying to figure out the best (also read - cost effective) way to get some more tunes into the wagon.

I've looked at a new stereo, along with the fascia kit and the loom adapter and the steering wheel adapter, but it all starts to add up, so was wondering if anyone has fitted one of these?

I guess it just takes the place of the CD Changer input.

I've also got (fitted by the previous owner) and Parrot Hands-free kit installed. I take it that this wont get in the way of any thing else being connected up?

Thanks for any info you may be able to give.

Not fitted the thing you're asking about, although it would be helpfull to know whicht product you are interested in ;)
I've just ripped out a Parrot, horrid thing. It doesn't interfere with the factory wiring. It had a link harness that simple connected between the radio and speakers. I was able take it out, complete with harness and link the factory wiring back to the radio again.
What year and model is your Freelander?

Sorry, it's a 2006 TD4 FL1.

Have just been searching and it appears they may not actually do a kit for the facelift FL1. False alarm! Everything seems to be up to 2003 and after 2007!

Doh!

The facelift stereo is quite restrictive as to upgrades. Mine has FM radio and a built-in 6 disc CD. It's OK for most uses but not great if you are well into in car hifi.

Thanks Sam-323, I'll take a look at that. It looks like if I want more tunes, I'm going to have to replace the head unit.
