Hello,

Wont show my sources,

LR have signed off using the Discovery 4 chassis,
The will be a minimum of 3 max 6 varitents ie 90/110/130 etc
New Ingenium engine will be an engine choice,
Curerntly only know that an auto will be used (currently at Eastnor but sssssh)

Yeah they did mention that the new Defender would be between the Discovery and Range Rover bracket, which to me spells out £50k a pop, at least.
 
So the new Defender is going to be more expensive than the Discovery? Can't see current Defender owners, old and new, queueing up to buy one. As I have posted on here before I don't think JLR want the off road/utility/farmer business any more. Their push into the expensive life style/business/luxury market has left the traditional Land Rover lover way behind.
 
I've no sources or leads, but, personally I can't see them trying to flog them at an above Disco price point.
 
As for 'pushing the value of the proper ones up', they surely can't go up much more! Crazy prices on that well-known online auction site.
