Right. I am wanting to start giving my defender a face lift and i thought i would start with a second snorkel (over the other side where the heater bit is) and i was just reflecting on how some folk take the tops of the snorkel and strap on those k&n style cone filters. Has anyone ever done this?

if so:

Does it make a blind bit of difference or just look funky?

Do they still work in the ****ing rain?

Thanks

equilibrium. i feel a bit lop sided and besides, i saw a defender with both done and i though it looked sweet. plus it will stop water going down that hole

only time i saw 2 snorks was on a V8... cos it needed it. how do you propose to link the snork to the heater intake? i am confused.

Fer fooks sake yer a victim of society an yer drive a landy. I thought we was sposed to be different and dint give a ****e as to wot we looked like.

all right, all right bloody hell. i'll stick to one. but if we aren't supposed to care what we look like, why the fook should i conform to the norn and make my landy look like the rest? surely 2 would stand out~? any way, bugger it, i will stick to the one.

my question still hasn't been answered.

DOES THE EXTRA AIR FILTER MAKE A DIFFERENCE OR NOT???????

AND DOES IT WORK IN THE WET?????

K&N style filters aren't designed to go on the top of your snorkel. Assuming you still have the standard airbox in place as well it can only add restriction to your intake therefore screwing your performance to some extent. Can't see em being impervious to the good old british weather either.

what if you didn't keep your standard airbox? Cos i am thinking of using a K&N on mine, but am concerned about the rain factor also.
