hi all, i know these things leak and seep a lot.. but mine is soaking at this time of year, it collects on the inside of the sunroof etc, and can literally rain on you when you 1st move..

and quirky or serious thoughts to try dehumidify etc during the winter months ?
have a horrid feeling it might be effecting a few odd bits on the old electronics / eas etc....

thanks

It will be effecting things you can bet on it. Stick a dehumidifier in it for a couple of days. Or use aircon to dry it if fitted.

First find why its letting water in!! no point drying it out for it to get soaking wet next time it rains!! have you checked sun roof seals? door seals? window seals? sun roof drain tubes? pollen filter covers are sealing tightly? (small bit of RTV paste helps here)

Hope that gives you something to go at :)

Always running the aircon will help dry it once you have fixed the leaks. Check the pollen filter housing covers and the screws adjacent on the valence.

I found a sunroof drain pipe had been pinched and blocked on assembly behind the rear pillar trim. This was on a 95 model. worth a check.

Found my sunroof draine tube woz leaking into the boot, the foam on the backs of the carpets woz full of water and have to cut the carpet under the back seats to take it out to dry it, will bond it back when dry and will not see the cut when seats are down, got five moisture traps off Ebay for six quid to put in aswell.

+1 for that, you wouldnt believe how much water them screws and cover let in.
