Hi all,
Well, on my way home to Fareham last night, the D2 (2004 TD5 Landmark) decided to dump 9l of ATF onto the A303 near Wincanton. I didn't fully realise what was happening, doing 60mph it seemed to drop out of lockup, then the revs went up and down. It's only when I noticed the rear window dripping in oil I realised what had happened. I staggered to a layby, there was oil everywhere, mostly on the LH side, so a burst cooler pipe was the likely cause.
Anyway, finally got recovered at 8am and home. Wifey not impressed. The rubber pipe had come away from the connector. I've made a temporary fix with a couple of jubilee clips as I've got to get the car mobile, just for a short distance.
The question, has anyone used Comma MVATF Plus Fully Synthetic? The spec seems to say it's compatible with Dexron II, Dexron III and loads of other things, but the Halfrauds and Opie Oil oil selectors don't say it's compatible. It's the only oil I can get in that sort of quantity quickly and I've got to get the car into the drive.
I'm grateful for your wisdom!
