Hi I have a 2005 RR L322 And when unlocking with key fob only the front doors unlock, rear doors boot and fuel flap remain closed. if you press the central locking button and the boot release buttons enough times it will unlock.Really embarrassing when friends are trying to get in. REALLY REALLY getting on my nerves now. ANY IDEAS GREATLY APPRECIATED

Diagnostics.....

The BCU can be set to open only certain things when the fob is pressed....might be an idea to see that settings stored in the BCU....

As I posted on your other thread, a full check over of the databuses is in order to ensure messages are getting through to the relevant outstations....

The L322 is a massively complex car from an electronics point of view, relying heavily on databuses and ECUs....a failure in one, can bring down the whole car!

Don't worry about it. In time, all your friends will be green oval owners. They're the only people who will understand your new life.

This is because your ECU is set to do this for anti hijacking reasons. Two solid clicks on key fob will unlock all doors. One click will unlock drivers door. You can also get them set dependent on year to open / close windows and roof. To open boot and use same button held down as a panic alarm etc ect.

P.S. all options for your year of car are in the handbook and online!!!

Thanks to all for your replies ,I thought this might be how the car is set up but this unlocking problem is intermittent and getting more frequent.Have put new battery on the car and new battery in key fob

In the world of Range Rover, there is no inconsistency here. The designers probably factored in that the chances of you being hijacked were intermittent and that there would be periods of increased risk.
