WORD OF WARNING to anyone who uses syntolac, makes sure it is covered from wet weather for at least 6 days, I've found out the hard way! covered the front with, what i thought, was a waterproof cover but after a heavy down poor i now have an imprint of the material in my bonnet and wing tops where the cover has sat on it and got rained on.

Least i have paint left over to re-do those bits :D

where did you buy the paint from? And/or does anyone know where i can get standard landy colours from, i want to paint mine back to the original 'Marine Blue' (i think) as it is a bit multi coloured currently and im not a fan. For £50 ill be doing it very soon!

I got it from VRS in Derby, it's a synthetic enamel paint, i'm sure you can get it from most trade paint shops. It's used for industrial rollering. They didn't have any exact car colours but they did get swatches out of landrover greens so i could compare them to the syntolac swatches. I was going for coniston green but in the end went for a different one. :)

It should be coming out of hibernation this weekend as the weather plans to be good so i'll take some more pictures so you can see if you're happy with the finish. It's not spray standard and i wouldn't wanna paint my disco with it, i just think that you can get away with the finish on an old defender. :)
