I'm wanting to paint my brake calipers and possibly the drums as well. My FL1 is Rioja Red [code 601] what colour would suit that vehicle's colour?

Choices: as close as possible to body colour in caliper paint?
satin / matt black - bit boring
Gloss black - ditto
Aluminium look?
Orange!!

Satin black drums and coloured calipers??

I got yellows to my black wheels and black car. Yellow Gloss.
Drums in satin black

- People said that look lovely ;D

Mine are painted black. They contrast the silver of the wheels with looking ridiculous.
My ZS180 were also pained black for the same reason.
My MGF calipers are bright red!!

mine are gloss black on my silver fl 1 with 2 tone alloys

Mine are painted flat matt black using stove paint, no problem with heat

Heat resistant paint- Yes.

Drums may get hotter than the calipers [perhaps]. The VHT Caliper paint needs to be 'cured' in an oven - one hour at 90ºC - wonder what the wife will say?

I've come to the conclusion if I couldn't colour match to the body colour, then satin black will be the order of the day.

I really like winu's yellow and that suits the black, dark green and maybe that smokey metallic grey as well although I could see those in a nice red too. I'd considered a bright red but I think in time I [and others] would see that as a bad mistake.

Orange is the new black but I think I would stick to the old black on a Rioja red freebie!
