hi all.

in need of youf help.
trying to bleed clutch having fun (not)
new slave cylinder/clutch marster cylinder
put new clutch fork/release berring new sliders full kit
put it all back together today tryed to bleed clutch,car,nt seem to get any pedal.
any ideas
before i pull whats left of my hair out

Hi dave, I had similar problems with mine. It turned out to to be that I'd bent the copper pipe that goes from the master cylinder round the bulkhead to the union before the slave. Once I replaced that pipe it was plain sailing

Brim the master and undo the bleed nipple on the slave, let it flow out, nip it up and topup the master. If it looked like it was running clear from the BN then get someone to press the pedal slowly with the BN undone, as they reach the end of the clutch travel tell them to give you a shout, at this point nip up the BN and then let them take their foot of the clutch. Do this twice and then check the level.

After that it ought to be fine, leaving a stick jamming the pedal down over night also seems to help.

At this point if it's still not getting hard then I would check that the rod hasn't fallen off the fork or isn't in the slave properly or something.

Had a similar problem with mine - couldn't seem to get it bleed cleanly using through the clutch pedal. Was a down facing slope so maybe air was getting trapped in the slave. Got a Gunsons ezibleed kit from screwfix and it did the job in about a minute. Used pressure from an old spare wheel - just make sure the tyre is around 18psi and no more.

hi steve.
thanks for your input, pipe checked out fine.
think i have got it sorted.
the push rod what opperates the clutch fork was the wrong one to small
thanks anyway
