Gents,
Got an issue with the TD5. Had a squeeling clutch for the 12 months I've owned it however it's now starting to become an issue trying to select gears whilst stationary and cold - although the clutch doesn't slip it just doesn't want to go into gear without a fight. Looking into replacing clutch/thrust release bearing/spigot bush and flywheel but been quoted around the grand mark by the local land rover specialists. So my question is; how difficult of a job is it to replace the above at home if I source the parts myself? Got a pretty well equipped workshop on the farm and a few bodies to help.
Also the old DM flywheel versus a cheaper, solid one? I don't tow with the wagon and I'm a mechanically sympathetic driver
if that makes much of a difference. Is it worth paying extra to get a DM?
Cheers.
