Right. I have fitted a new clutch kit plus it's had new slave and master on. When i put the clutch down and put it in to gear the clutch is bits at the bottom. Can someone let me know if it needs bleeding. Thanks Mark

hi, no take it i need one off them ?
Take its a 1.8 from yor profile

If the bracket is bent or cracked your foot would be to the floor trying to operate the clutch - check it quick as it could break altogether and pop yer new hydraulics.

Or the slave might not be seated in the bracket properly.

it looks in a bed way, will get a new one

It's a sealed system on a 1.8 so it doesn't need bleeding. :)

Appn daft questions but...
Is the rounded end of the rod on the slave cylinder located correctly?
Have you secured it correctly in the hole in the bulkhead?
Is it the right part? Mines a 2001/1A VIN and I was supplied an earlier part which I fitted and buggered it... :(
Is your clutch arm free?

As said, it's likely the mounting bracket needs replacing asap.

Beat me to it! ;)

OP, when mine went it took a piece of the bracket with it and bent the rest slightly but not enough to stop it holding in place and driving about 30 miles. :)
