Ive a 90 300tdi defender which when you first press clutch pedal it doesnt have any pressure for about 2.5 to.3 inches. Its getting harder to change gear but is still drivable. Help required.

Could be low on fluid, I'd check this first, the slave or master cylinder. It's not necessarily the clutch itself that's on it's way out. Start with the cheaper/easier stuff

Slave cylinders are a favourite failure point of the Defender, not all bad news though they are about £12 and quite simple to change, some times they play silly buggers getting the air out.

Check the drivers footwell, when my master cylinder went it was leaking clutch fluid down the pedal and leaving a puddle on the rubber mat, but it could also be the clutch fork wearing

could be a broken spring in the master cylinder too (well, that's how my last master cylinder failed anyway).
