The series 3 drove ok it has been left for about 7 weeks and I cant engage the clutch?
I can get all the gears but the clutch doesn't engage , the engine will start easily the gear engage but no clutch. I have looked at the Master cylinder the fluid moves slightly I don't think it's moving enough to move the slave cylinder,
Has anybody come across this problem?
I think my first port of call is to bleed the slave cylinder , I am open to any reasonable ideas

So when you press the clutch pedel down the clutch does not disengage?
Is that wot you are saying ?
If so then jack up the rear wheels.
Chock front and hand break off
put he in to 3rd and start her.
let her warm up
rev engine , press clutch pedal and jump on break at the same time.
Repeat until clutch works.

no he is saying the clutch has seized and by starting it in gear it should release itself and if the back wheels are off the ground it wont shoot off

I must be fick... I read it as he could get gears but no drive. I leaves me lightweight in "N" on the Transferbox lever to confuse any thieves or toerags. Caught out the GF as well.. Ha Ha

I can start the engine engage a gear and there is no drive? The vehicle has been standing for several weeks it hasn't moved before that it seemed Ok?

Can I ask why jack the vehicle up in the air It doesn't make any sense to me

Because some times after a vehecal has been standing for a while the clutch plate rusts on to the pressure plate, so it will not disengage and you get this big grining of gears when you try to select a gear.

But you problem sounds more like you have the transfer box in nutral.
(A good anti theft thing to do)

Shuve all the levers in the correct position for 4WD. Make sure, if fitted, that the OverDrive disengaged. Is there any drive from the front as you may have a broken half shaft. Do either of the out put flanges turn.? If not... try loosening the pipe from the master cylinder to the slave. It could be a duff or incorrectly set master cylinder.

Problem solved somebody has been playing with the levers, clutch, had to be bled was a little spongy come to think about it it was before the problem stared
Thank for the input
