Freelander 2 td4 2013 Occasionally after starting for the first time in the morning using clutch pedal on start up the pedal does not fully come back up, clutch does not slip when driving away, sometimes after a mile or so pedal returns or I put my foot under it to lift it the 25mm. To bring it level with brake pedal, all help appreciated

I'm despairing. I appreciate all advice.

Land Rover 2 TD4 HS Year: 2007. Current Mileage 137K

I have the same problem as many are posting where my clutch pedal is sticking at 2/3rds. Prior to this, the pedal stuck 100% down 3 times requiring a tow to 3 different garages:

1st time 11/07/19 @126K: Clutch, slave cylinder, flywheel replaced: £867
2nd time 10/10/19 @128K: Master cylinder replaced: £271
3rd time 21/09/21 @137K: Clutch, slave cylinder, flywheel replaced - different garage out of 1 year warranty so another £920

A weeks later, pedal sticks not to the floor, just 2/3rds, easily lifted by hand or foot.. but I think it's just a matter of time before next full failure and my wife is the main driver (and never in Chelsea). Lots of clutch bleeding and new parts but I still have an issue. Help/advice?

I can post a link or a video of current situation of it helps.

Many thanks for your kind consideration to my plight. I love the car, just this issue is costing me more cash than I can sadly afford. I am fearful that the garage that did the last clutch replacement will throw another master cylinder replacement at the issue.

I can't see why you'd have needed a second DMF, after such a short distance, especially as the FL2 DMF is generally good for 2 clutches.

If you're still having a sticking issue after all the parts have been replaced, twice, then it's likely the issue is elsewhere, like the pedal bushes, or even the linkage between the master and pedal.
