Update on the clutch return spring upgrade.
The pedal definitely takes less pressure to push to the floor but the over centre flip on the spring coincides with the bite point. It doesn't have the feel of the old tension spring.
Also, the pedal now pushes back further at rest so I have to lift my foot higher to put it on the pedal. Having a security plate that covers the pedals I now have to reach behind with one hand to push the pedal down before I can fold the plate up to cover the pedals.
My son isn't keen and preferred the old spring. I'm sort of with him but not sure it bothers me enough to go back.

Mines the old spring too and the general stiffness is emphasised by the spring creaking like a barn door in a haunted movie , I'm keen on upgrading and on the list of things to do , mines the old pedal type and need to upgrade the pedal and box to fit the spring

The assist spring does change the feel of the clutch.

lt's more difficult to get a smooth clutch action as the spring goes over centre around the bite point, as mentioned above.

l also prefer the clutch feel with the original spring fitted, but it's just too heavy.
