I thought the pipe should be 11mm 7/16
Adapter either 13 1/2” or 14 9/16
If not cut & reflare the pipe. You only need to find 2” spare.
Draper do a kit for various sizes but you will need to practice.
@Flossie kit is easier to use but only does 1 size

It will be a standard size, it's probably damaged. I would get some mole-grips on it and a spanner on the adapter, it shouldn't take too much effort to unfasten it.

But watch the pipe doesn't start turning with the nut, that'll ruin it.
Some heat and or release fluid down the nut will help if it proper tight. Corrosion between the pipe and nut can almost weld them together so whatever you do (heat etc) will help as will going slowly and retightening the nut and releasing it again to help break any binding.

I just thought I would give you an update! I had to saw off the pipe in the end! It would not budge! I got the adapter off and even in the vice I could not separate the two!!
As I twisted the old copper pipe i think i'm just going to replace the whole pipe with a replacement pipe part which seems to come the right shape and with the connectors already attached? Do they really go straight on? Anyone had experience of these? The Bearmach one is so cheap!?!
Al the different makes seem different shapes!

What I would do is cut the pipe flush with the nut so you can use a 8 sided socket on the nut to undo,
Flair the existing pipe with a new connector and you are sorted,

Give it a good soak with plusgas easing oil several times and grip the adapter with one spanner and the pipe nut with another, try tightening it a little then slackening it a little keep spraying with plusgas until it starts to undo.

Hello all, I cannot believe where the time has gone! At the moment i'm waiting on parts before I can put everything back together.
In the meantime I have been rubbing everything down and painting it! I think its going ok! see pic!
The big test will be putting it all back together next week! I'll post an update! Thanks for everyones tips

Hello all! Just a note to say big thank you to everyone who helped me with this!
It's all back together and to my great relief works a treat ))) So pleased!!!!
Next job is to put a clock in. Then a new radiator. Then a new exhaust!!
