The clutch on my 90 with disco engine and box isn't releasing properly. When I depress the pedal it will release enough to stop the land rover moving however it is still trying to drive i.e. the clutch is being slipped and you can't change gear lol. Any advice as to what may be the issue would be much appreciated. Cheers people

Could be worth checking the master and slave cylinders to see if they are leaking/on the way out. I had similar trouble and had trouble changing gears one day, the next the slave had failed and lost all the fluid and my Landy stalled as I tried to reverse out the drive. Unfortunately the drive was on a slope so it was then also stuck in gear....

Yup going to try to check the master and slave, I'm not losing pressure but was wondering whether the master might be bypassing itself when up to pressure or if the slave has seized, thanks for the reply

Open pedal box cover and check adjuster nut's on master actuating rod have not come free.

If seals in master are gone you should be able to see the fluid washing about if you look in the reservoir.

Seized slave would give a hard pedal.

If your not losing fluid or pressure, there's no air in the system and its adjusted correctly I'd suspect the push rod or pivot pushing through the clutch arm.
