So im thinking master cylinder? Any idea of cost to sort?
Yikes. Not simple at all. Or cheap.Sorry to say that your thinking is correct.
This happened to my sons FL2 last year and it was a gearbox out job. Quite a common fault on the early ones apparently.
It was repaired by RCV at Paddock Wood at a cost of around £1300 but my boy had the whole clutch assembly replaced while the box was out as it seemed silly not to.
Avoid a main dealer for this - Guy Salmon in Maidstone quoted £3400 for the same job, but then I suppose they do clean your car and give you a tin of sweets when you get it back!!!
Not sure if ours was the slave or master cylinder but just to clarify this, our clutch peddle was actually stuck on the floor. It did not return unless you got your foot under it and "levered" it up.
Then as soon as you pushed it down again it stayed down, so it wasn't as though you could pump it up and down and there was no pressure.

So master cyclinder done fly wheel done(was damaged) and clutch 1300 quid.
Ouch - Just before Christmas as well........Sounds about the right price though.
My boy is really pi**ed off with his - Starter motor is now needing to be wacked with a rubber mallet every few starts.
Just the latest in a catalogue of failures that has made him decide to get rid.
