On my 1986 90 the clutch is not engaging, first the pedal went floppy and there was only a little bit of clutch and now there's next to nothing when i put it down and car starts moving when in gear, can't smell burning clutch or anything, fluid in master cylinder has dropped and i tried filling it up but with no luck, can anyone help?

Try bleeding the system otherwise new master/slave needed. Possible clutch fork holed but suspect hydraulics

Hole in slave would be my bet, if you still have wading plugs in the bellhousing take em out or you will contaminate the clutch, if not check for fluid in the hole in the bellhousing and work back from there, flexi pipe may have a pin hole/split get someone to press the pedal while your under it to check if they are both ok then it's either the mc or there is air getting in somewhere

Yeah well I topped fluid up and I still got bits of air comming through and the master is only a year or two old so will check slave in the morning
Cheers

still check the master, its easy enough, a year or two means nothing depending on what was fitted, some last ages, others not,

Yeah true if its britpart it's bound to be knackered, ill av to try find out what ma dad put on it
