Defender 90 TD5.

I can just tell I’m due a clutch soon. Any ideas of how much this will cost and if anyone on this forum lives on the south coast (I live between Brighton and Portsmouth) who could recommend someone.
 
Bill and I did his clutch recently.
A new LOF clutch is around £220, Britpart etc are a lot less.

It took the two of us 6 hours to get the engine out, put the clutch plate on the right was around (ahem) and put it all back together.
 
Just doing a TD5 and I would strongly advise including the DMF, especially in view of the amount of work required to get to it. I would budget £500 for parts (full clutch kit with DMF and new bolts) and £1000+ for labour? How much?? I hear you ask? I normally do all my own repairs but didn't fancy doing the clutch in the middle of winter and was quoted 14 hours @85+VAT and £12 hours @£100 at two independants! That's why I'm now lying on the cold, wet tarmac doing it myself!

Thx u matey.. wish I had the skills to do myself, so the upshot it’s an expensive job. Your advice is much appreciated.
