My clutch has started to slip under full acceleration especially up hills in 3rd.

If you accelerate slowly it does not slip.

The problem is that it is easter and I am in Wales so I will have to drive home to London before I can get it changed next week!

Does anyone have any idea how long it might last?

Obviously driving carefully, pulling away gently and allowing minimal slip will help extend its life. Does anyone have any other tips to ensure it gets me home?

Had plenty of cars with slipping clutches than have run for weeks, admittedly not a 4wd but just be gently with it and you'll be fine.

I drove a Morris Oxford back and too to work with a slipping clutch for twelve months:D
Drive it like you've only got a pint of fuel left to get you twenty miles.:)

I drove a 200tdi disco for about 3 months with the same symptoms. Just go easy on the right foot and try to avoid working it hard on hills.

i would double-declutch it all the way back. helps if you've got a tacho though. Just use the clutch as little as possible. you don't really need to double declutch, just make sure you pop it in gear at the right revs and don't touch the clutch. just make a note of how many revs you're doing at various speeds in the gears you use at those speeds.

Or just drive it as normal then ring the AA or whatever. Save yourself some diesel on the way home that way too.
