Went to my disco this morning, started her up as usual and pulled away. Went into 2nd gear no problem, however when attempting to change up to 3rd the clutch pedal was harder than normal to depress and then sunk to the floor with no resistance. With the pedal on the floor I still had drive to the gearbox and was forced to let the engine stall to stop. Unable to change gears now.

I suspect it to be the slave cylinder, having had a similar problem on a Td4 freelander a few years ago. If anyone has any other suggestions as to the cause i'd appreciate it!

After my MOT welding drama, i really thought i was onto a few months of trouble free disco motoring! seems like it likes relieving my wallet of money!

This happened to me, was driving then the pedal wouldn't come back up, had to use my foot to bring the clutch back up, then after about 4 changes went solid, no matter what i tried was rock hard.
the pivet had worked it's way through the fork. had to split the box and replaced with heavy duty fork.

exactly the symptoms mine has! Looks like the garage will have a good job this week off me! Due to wrk commitments I don't have the time to do it myself and I need the car back by the weekend!
