I've got a chatter noise coming from the bellhousing area that disappears when I put pressure on the clutch pedal.
Unless I'm missing something I can't see a release bearing in my parts catalogue so any ideas on the usual suspects that I can throw at it?
Cheers Rob

This presses onto the centre of the clutch

Oh was you in water up in wales??
If you parked it up it(not used it for a week) could just be a bit of rust on the main shaft not allowing the clutch plate to float back

While I’m bored...
You can remover the inspection bung & have a look. Can’t remember if you have to remove the selector bracket(think 4 bolts)

Hi - did you ever resolve this issue? Mine just started doing it at the weekend. Its a S3, but my thoughts are the spigot bush or release bearing/fork. Sounds quite a chatter - especially free wheeling or at low speed coming to a halt. Any input I'd appreciate it - gonna try and live with it until weather improves! Dont fancy lying on the barn floor all over again!
