bought a new disco recently and clutch pedal was pretty hard, my left leg is like Schwarzenegger's. replaced clutch and dmf and read that replacing the slave cylinder would help with a stiff clutch. Tried tonight to bleed it, good old fashioned way with fluid in a bottle and someone pumping pedal, reverse bleeding and finally gravity bleed nothing. Found out why.....

You will do a better job bleeding with a new master cylinder and a new push rod for your new slave cylinder.

Had a look on microcat and no loop da loop

someone has made a pipe up and to stop it fracturing through vibration has added a coil , a coil wont effect bleeding

Ah thought it was effecting it as it wouldn't even gravity bleed.

no wont effect bleeding at ali a poor master cylinder or slave or leak will

lovely looks like a master cylinder is on the cards,as I have a new pipe and slave cylinder

Bled the system last night and got a pedal, but still couldn't get gear when engine running, feels as if the master cylinder isn't strong enough to push the clutch in fully, ordered a new master cylinder
