just took it for a nice drive up and down a few steep hills, didnt slip at all.
i think my problem was a little burr or lump on the rod (it looked liked weld splatter?), so when i was trying to get 1.6mm free play i wasnt getting a true mesurement if u can see what i mean, cleaned the rod up with a tiny file, just to take the edge of.

Which rod are you talking about? the slave end? - only ask as I am have similar problem which is driving me nuts...

hiya............
mine was the master end.
i pretty sure it was part of the threaded rod,,thread from rod or one of the 2 nuts, so when i was trying to get my adjustment 1.6mm of free play, it was catching on the bur? so my adjustment was all over the place. it ended in a new clutch for me?
and all these problems started off from a 4x4 garage....i should of came on here first and asked a few questions. would of saved time and MONEY

Nice one - Glad to hear you sorted it. Makes you proud to have done it yourself eh? Always ask - There'll always be someone willing to help!!!

:)

iwallace - just sorted mine, even though your description of your problem sounded like mine I found that the internals of my clutch master cylinder were broken which kept pressure on the slave as only part of the piston was returning - a weird problem and one I had not seen before. A new master cylinder sorted it out even though the original was not that old. These landy's keep you on your toes for sure.

yeah they keep ya busy..............ive only had mine for 6 months, aint even got it muddy yet.........
work mon to fri...............then the week ends on the motor, def always something to do
