Grrrrrr
Technician, Bodgit & Scarper Ltd
Seeing as the rain finally stopped and the temperature hit double-figures I thought I would open a window. It was then I noticed a sort of clunk each time the slack in the drive-train was taken up, usually as I let the clutch up at a junction. Arse!
As soon as I got back I had it on stands and was checking the UJs and trying to find what was causing it. That's where the confusion starts. It is coming from the driver's side (off-side) rear wheel. I removed the brake pads in case they were shot but still the same clunk. It isn't loud (cannot hear it with window shut) and it doesn't do it every time but it is there and the other wheels don't do it. Film of me testing it here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0By7n3F7TXDU8c1Y3NDJKS2s5dTA/view?usp=sharing
Any ideas what could cause a clunk? No odd wear on the tyre. As far as I'm aware there's only the half-shaft, isn't there?
