Hi folks,
Can anyone advise on a clonking when turning right on a p38 not always on full lock, but knowing its a rr it more likely to be more serious, any ideas

got it checked and it the cv joint but it also thrown up another problem went to move the car and all the indicator light are on like the alarm had been tripped and the message warning was coming up with traction fault then abs and gearbox fault but no engine warning light on when ticking over

It's possible that the CV joint vibrated enough that it moved the ABS sensors, thus causing issues, worth looking at anyway.

Has the car been standing for some time? Did you get the CV joint replaced? if so, has the sensor been pushed in against the reluctor ring on the CV joint. Could try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes to see if it resets a few niggles-o.k., you will have to reset the windows, sunroof etc.

***MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE RADIO CODE BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY**

the car had been standing about 18hrs after i parked it up and had no warning coming up on the dash, do think it would be good idea to look at the ecu earth connection?

Low battery could very well be your problem. Fully charge it, check the alternator output voltage when running and let us know what's what.

battery not holding charge so replaced it but still have a lack of power so i will change the coil packs and plugs

Unlikely all the coil packs have died. Try replacing the plugs, then the leads if there is no change before jumping in and changing packs.
