Hi All,
My 90 Defender (1986) has a rear brake problem which I need to sort out. When I take off after leaving it for the night the brakes run freely, as I then touch the brake pedal after 5m to slow my roll down, the rear brakes seize on and skid. I then reverse a little and they free up. When I touch the brake pedal it happens again.
Once I reach the tarmac, they bind for a little then free off.
Occasionally they clonk when I brake but nothing major.
After stopping at a location for a while, I start driving and the process starts again including binding hard when I am reversing with my unbraked trailer.
Can anyone help please?
