I have a 2002 Freelander td4 Es Auto,The problem I have is when I am going slow and then blip the throttle I get a clonk under the floor pan area at the front I think it is a mounting that is worn could anybody please tell me which one it could be as I have back problems and cannot get under car to check and I don't want to get ripped off by a garage.
Thank You in Advance.

Had a possibly similar "clonk" on taking up drive, but on a manual TD4. Replaced a tie bar between gearbox and subframe. £50 from LR plus one hour of my time to fix! This is situated in the area on right hand side of engine
(from inside) under drivers feet.

Also, well known clonker candidate is the rear diff mounts wearing. Cheap and easy to do, well if you do the job yerself that is.

Hi thanks for replys
Went to local garage they put it up on ramp and it is the front mount on the diff, It is going in thursday to be done they said if it is left it could knock out the propshaft.

Hummm, not too sure about it knocking out the propshaft, but its worth fixing. I'll have to get around to do mine at somepoint. Donks like hell if i open it up in lower gears... :D
